BRSA Master Thatchers completely re-thatched our roof and we are so absolutely delighted with the result!
The roof was previously in a very poor state, covered in lichen and moss and on the rear aspect especially where the old straw had sagged a hump had formed along with extensive areas of rot. Ben and Stuart worked so efficiently together to completely transform the roof and it was most fascinating to see how this developed over the weeks. At last the roof is now flat and smooth with such beautiful sweeping curves and detailing. I’m particularly impressed with the uniformity of the thatch around the ridges and curved surfaces, and the blending of the flush ridge.
Ben and Stuart were at all times completely professional and reliable, worked extremely hard to finish the job in a timely manner while leaving a tidy site at the end of each day and without rushing the quality of finish. On top of all this, I thought that they were competitive on the cost as well. A really great job all round and I would not hesitate to recommend BRSA Master Thatchers – Thanks for such a wonderful job!

Ben and Stewart were very professional, reliable and polite. The finished result is absolutely beautiful and we have had many positive comments from neighbours and passers by. We would not hesitate to recommend BRSA to anyone requiring this service.
Many thanks

I am writing on behalf of Woking And District Angling Association where Stewart is a member. One of our Fisheries projects for this year (2009) was to build a new boat shed and without hesitation Stewart and Ben offered to thatch the roof.
They carried out the job using just a few handmade tools with such craftsmanship it was totally absorbing to watch and caused much comment and interest. Once finished the roof indeed was a work of art right down to the large Carp which was sculpted from reeds and chicken wire to be set on top. What better for a boat shed beside a fishing lake.
Stewart and Ben are indeed very gifted craftsman and we would not hesitate to recommend there services to anyone. We would like to take this opportunity to thank them a great deal for all the work they carried out for us. It was brilliant.

“BRSA Master Thatchers re-ridged our thatched roof and did an excellent job. The roof was in a worn state, the ridge had dropped and patches of the roof were covered in moss. Ben and Stewart rebuilt the ridge, cleaned the whole roof and replaced the wire netting completely. They worked very efficiently, were totally reliable, conscientious and completed the job in very good time. We were very pleased with the result – it looked like a new thatch. We would recommend Ben and Stewart to anyone they are a skilled team with a very professional approach.” Dr Neil Harbury, Chieveley.
BRSA Master Thatches completed the re-thatching of my house roof in a timely and workmanlike manner, the quality of the finished roof is excellent, and their sensitivity to fit their work practices around family activities was greatly appreciated.

BRSA Master Thatcher’s commenced the re-thatch at St Lawrence and Highland Court Cricket Clubhouse, Bridge, Nr Canterbury during Oct/Nov 09. Both Ben and Stewart worked in an extremely professional manner during the whole process.
They covered and left all areas clean and tidy and arrived on site at mutually convenient times to complete the project. Any concerns and problems were discussed immediately with me and addressed/rectified in an expedient manner. I would have no hesitation in recommending BRSA, as a competent and competitive firm of Thatcher’s, for any future clients.
May we take this opportunity to thank BRSA for a wonderful job, which will be enjoyed by both club members and visitors for many years to come.
